Promoters GBM Sports is taking its one-night knockout tournament, The Heist, around the world.
Izzy Asif’s promotional group have joined forces with Rygg – a performance-based recovery solutions brand in Australia – and their shared vision is to take The Heist across four continents and five countries, beginning in Dubai in April before travelling to Majorca, back to the UK, Australia, and then the United States.
GBM was founded in 2022 and they put on their first eight-man ‘Heist’ show in 2025, at Connexin Live in Hull, at super middleweight.
Their fights are shown on DAZN.
“The Heist proved in its debut that one-night tournaments are the future of boxing – pure adrenaline, no fillers, just warriors risking it all for glory and big money,” stated Asif. “Partnering with Rygg allows us to take this concept global, bringing ‘The Heist’ to new markets and new fans on multiple continents while equipping our fighters with world-class performance and recovery support.
“2026 is going to be massive. This is the next level for GBM Sports and for boxing worldwide.”
Rygg is an Australian-based sports medicine company, designed to help athletes and active individuals feel stronger, move better, and recover faster through Informed Sport-certified products. It was founded by orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Steve Andrews in 2022.
“This environment of world-class athletes and GBM’s global ambition provides a powerful platform as both GBM and Rygg expand internationally. GBM and Rygg are united by a shared vision of growth on a world-class stage,” said Dr Andrews.
