Puerto Rican prospect Prichard Colón steps into the ring on Saturday, August 1st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York against an opponent to be confirmed. The fight takes place as part of the second helping of "Premier Boxing Champions" on ESPN.
Prichard, 22-years-old and six feet tall, will fight on the same card where Danny Garcia (30-0, 17 KOs) will make his welterweight debut against veteran and former world champion Paul Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KOs).
Colon, who remains undefeated with 14-0 and 11 KOs, trains strong in Boca Raton, Florida, under the tutelage of experienced and renowned Cuban coach Pedro Luis Diaz. The boxer is currently in Puerto Rico finalizing his preparation for this fight with his father Richard and his brother Ricardo Colón, who accompany him in his corner.
"I will take the stage offered to me on a card with boxers and renowned champions and former world champions like Garcia and Malignaggi to shine before my people. I hope the fight is a swing bout and people will see me on TV," Colon said.
