Brandon Rios already has a big opportunity on the table, with promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom looking to secure him for a fight on August 29th against IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook.

But there could be another opportunity, although a longshot, with talk of Juan Manuel Marquez returning to action. There is heavy talk in Mexico that local officials are very interested in having Marquez return in the fall as the headline star of a big event in Zocalo

Robert Garcia, who trains Rios, said he and his fighter would jump at the opportunity to get in the ring with the former four division champion.

Marquez has been inactive since last May's decision win over Mike Alvarado. The Mexican veteran has been dealing with a knee injury and he doesn't know if the ailment will end his career.

If the chance comes up, Garcia says it would be a bigger opportunity than facing Brook in the UK.

"It would be sensational, I personally would love to see Brandon against Juan Manuel Marquez, he's a legend. It would be an honor for Brandon to fight him, because he has been one of the great Mexican fighters. Although we do not know whether or not he will fight because of the problem he's experiencing with his one knee, but it would be a huge opportunity," Garcia told ESPN Deportes.
