Last Saturday in Atlantic City, Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16KOs) won an eight round technical decision over Daniel Ponce De Leon. Afterwards, Gamboa announced that he was moving up to 130-pounds. But in the weeks leading up to the fight, there was a lot of discussion regarding a 2012 super-fight with Nonito Donaire (26-1, 18KOs), who currently holds the WBO/WBC bantamweight titles. Donaire plans to move up to 122-pounds after his October defense against Omar Narvaez.

"The promoters are still negotiating. If something comes up at 126 and it's worth it, then we'll do it. There is nothing to discard something [taking place] at 126 but I am going up to 130," Gamboa told BoxingScene.com's Bill Emes.
