Dallas, Texas - MAIN EVENT UPDATE: Eduardo Galindo hit the scale at the weigh-in yesterday for the WBO NABO Junior Welterweight title 5 lbs over the limit at 145. He refused to lose the weight in the allowed 2 hour period (and in fact, gained slightly at the 2nd weigh-in).

Galindo was fined and had to weigh-in this morning before NABO supervisor Porfirio Betegon at no more than 150 lbs.  Galindo weighed in at 151. In spite of this, the Hooker camp is going forward with the fight.

"This is my shot, I am not backing down" said Maurice Hooker.  "I trained hard to get into top shape and I weighed in at just under 140 lbs in respect of the WBO NABO weight limit for this title fight. I can only control my own weight and own training not that of my opponent.  In training camp, I sparred with super middleweight Jose Uzcategui (23-1) from Venezuela so I am prepared to battle with a much heavier opponent.  The only thing that I am focused on right now is getting that belt and making Dallas proud."
