John Fury, the father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has warned Anthony Joshua to stay far away from his son.
The elder Fury believes his son would absolutely obliterate Joshua in a one-sided fight.
Last Saturday night at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Fury dropped Wilder twice before stopping him in the seventh round of their rematch to capture the WBC strap.
At the moment, Joshua - who holds the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world titles - is very motivated to get Fury in the ring for a full division unification.
Eddie Hearn, who promotes Joshua, says his boxer is willing to face Fury next. More than likely, Joshua will face his mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev, and Fury will be contractually mandated to face Wilder in a trilogy fight in the summer.
Should Joshua and Fury both win, they fall in line to potentially face each other at the end of the year.
But, John Fury has cautioned Joshua to go in another direction.
"You’re a nice guy. You look well, you've got a big future but when it comes down to the beating, fighting lion heart I don’t think you've got it. So, don’t mess with Tyson Fury . Keep your belts, go and fight other people but don’t mess with Tyson unless it’s worth your while, because let me tell you it’ll be the last time you ever box if you mess with him," John Fury told IFL TV.
"He will wreck you! [He is a] 19 stone, 6ft 9in wrecking machine who will not stop coming forward but he’ll come forward at you educated and he’ll punish you and he’ll school you and he’ll break your heart.
"He’ll make your life a misery and your life will never be the same again. So, think on. Eddie Hearn that’s to you as well."
