According to promoter Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event, negotiations continue for an ordered fight between European heavyweight champion Kubrat Pulev (17-0, 9 KOs) and Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KOs). The EBU ordered the match to take place and ordered a purse bid date of May 28th, which means the clock is ticking down. The fight would also be a final IBF eliminator, with the winner receiving the opportunity to challenge the Wladimir Klitschko-Alexander Povetkin winner.

"We are negotiating with [Fury's promoter] Mick Hennessy, with whom we had worked with before. It was a very successful collaboration. We should know on Tuesday if the fight will happen or not. There are rumors that Fury's camp is considering other opponents. If Fury [does not take the fight], then Pulev would get to face Wladimir Klitschko without taking part in a final eliminator," Sauerland said.
