Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury is not concerned with his his right eye opening up during his rematch with WBC world champion Deontay Wilder.

Wilder will defend his title against Fury in a rematch on February 22 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The fight was bad enough that many observers felt the contest with Wallin should have been stopped - which in turn would have made Wallin a TKO winner since the cut was due to a legal punch.

Fury needs at least two months for the cut to fully heal.

“The eye is doing well,” Fury told Sky Sports News. “The eye is healed up quite well. Is there any risk? I don’t know because I am not a surgeon.

“I am sure there will be. There is nothing much I can do about that. If it opens, up it opens up. It’s out of my control. There is nothing I can do about that eye opening in a fight.”

Wilder has not exactly made it a secret that he intends to target that eye in the fight.

“Most definitely. I mean, that’s what you do," Wilder said.

“If it opens it all depends on how good his plastic surgeon was, how fast it opens. Because the power that I have, I know how to cut a man open. [Fury's cut] was longer than his eyebrow itself. Two inches wide. Bro, that was automatic stop, but we all know there’s so much money involved.”
