Tyson Fury has promised to produce the type of risk-taking performance against Wladimir Klitschko that David Haye could not manage.

Haye, who is contemplating a return to the ring after a three-year break, was emphatically beaten on points by Klitschko in their 2011 clash - he boxed just once more against Dereck Chisora before two withdrawals from fights with Fury.

Fury told Sky Sports: "That fella, I don't name his name [Haye] because he's got no name to me, he ain't a person to me no more.

"He was too small for this Klitschko guy, he tried his best but he was too small.  He didn't have the 'cojones' to get stuck in, the do-or-die attitude.

"It was, 'Survive on points, no one goes the distance with Klitschko, so 'I'll survive on points'. The difference between me and him is, I'm a true fighting man and I'd rather go out on my back and be carried out than lose on points."

Haye weighed in at 15st 2lb 12oz against Klitschko four years ago, more than two stone lighter than the champion's 17st 4lb 9oz. Fury, who has admitted issues in keeping weight off, entered the ring at 18st 8lbs for his most recent fight against Christian Hammer.

He maintains that, if his bout against Klitschko requires the judges' verdicts, he will not be favoured on account of the location in Dusseldorf, Germany, which has become the Ukrainian's home from home.

"I'm going to tell you again one more time, I ain't going to Germany to play tip-tap boxing, I ain't going to Germany to win on points," he said.

"You think they're going to give a Brit a points decision in Germany over a super champion who has just signed a new five-year deal with [television network] RTL - do you think that's really going to happen?

"I'm going to have to go over there and destroy him, and I don't mean beat him on points and nick a decision. I mean mentally, physically break him down, wear him out, knock him out.

"I'm basically going to have to do what Rocky did to Drago. They're going to be against me but I'm going to make them love me. They'll be cheering 'Tyson! Tyson! Tyson!'"
