Carl Froch has blasted IBF super-middleweight titlist Lucian Bute ahead of his own Super Six final showdown against America’s Andre Ward.  Froch is the WBC boss, he today told Sky Sports News that his December 17th Atlantic City showdown with WBA counterpart Ward will crown an undisputed champion despite Canada’s Bute ruling a portion of the division.

“The winner of this fight will be the WBC and WBA champion and they’ll be talking about a fight with Lucian Bute but he’s out of the equation really, he’s not up there with the best in the world like me and Ward,” said Froch when speaking to Sky.

Adding: “The fights I’ve had, as far as I’m concerned, put me at the top of the world but this fight will cement it in concrete so I can look anybody in the eye and say I’m the best super-middleweight on the planet, bar none.”

Froch, 34, holds a 28-1 (20) record, his sole defeat coming on points against Mikkel Kessler last year.  ‘The Cobra’ will soon leave for the US as he bids to cement his 168lb legacy in the USA against his toughest opponent to date.
