Carl Froch insists there is genuine bad blood between himself and London rival George Groves as the pair prepare to clash in their world super-middleweight title fight in Manchester on Saturday night.
The pair have engaged in a sustained war of words during the pre-fight build-up and Froch is adamant it goes beyond the kind of hype routinely trotted out - and quickly forgotten - ahead of big bouts.
Froch said: "I can't wait to flatten George Groves and when I do I will still tell him what I think of him.
"I'm not going to shake his hand, give him a kiss and a hug, say don't worry you'll come back and do something in the future when I retire, because I don't like the guy. I'm going to show you how much I don't like him on Saturday night."
Groves bewildered Froch at Thursday's final head-to-head press conference when he revealed what he claimed would be his tactics for the contest, which included staking out the centre of the ring and landing a number of right hands in the opening round.
Froch added: "It's just ridiculous to be honest. You can't put that sort of detailed explanation of fight tactics because you don't know what your opponent is going to do.
"I'm hoping that one of his tactics that he has talked about, to take me on and stand in the middle of the ring and have a fight with me, he stands by and does have a fight with me because that's exactly what I want."
