British super middleweight Carl Froch plans to change up his style of fighting for his bout with Arthur Abraham in the third stage of the Super Six Boxing Classic. Froch and Abraham are set to fight in the fall, but nobody is sure of the exact date because the two fighters are innvolved in an ongoing dispute over the location.
Froch studied Abraham's March disqualification loss to Andre Dirrell. He plans to fight Abraham in a similar stick and move style. Even Froch knows that won't last for long. He says at some point in the battle, he will stand his ground and trade power punches with Abraham and that's the type of fight that everyone expects to take place.
"It would have been much better to win on points because he did a good job overall and showed the blueprint on how to beat Abraham and I’ll try and do a similar thing. But me being me, there will be times when I’ll stand in front of him and stand and have a punch-up. I hope I don’t get drawn into that, but you know what I’m like, I like to have a fight now and again," Froch told boxingnewsonline.net.
