The upcoming super middleweight bout between WBC champion Carl Froch (25-0, 20 KOs) and Andre Dirrell (18-0, 13 KOs) is only a few weeks away. October 17 in Nottingham, England, a hometown crowd will cheer Froch on as he makes the second defense of his title.

Dirrell is  the dark horse of the Super Six tournament. He wants to start with Froch and then beat the rest of the bunch like Arthur Abraham, Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler and Jermain Taylor. He sees the Super Six as the wide open door to make a name for himself. Dirrell is banking on his boxing skills to pull him through in the fight; especially his ability to switch to a southpaw at any given time.

"My main goal is to become a superstar in the super middleweight division," Dirrell said to the New York Post. "This is what I've been waiting for my whole life. Now is my time and I'm going to show my true talents. The world is going to know Andre Dirrell at the end of this tournament. [Froch] hasn't ever been in the ring with a cat like me."

Froch doesn't think Dirrell will be able to deal with his power. He doesn't care about Dirrell's ability to switch his stance. When Dirrell switches, Froch views it as a new side to land power punches.

"Whether he switches from southpaw to orthodox, it means one of his sides is going to be his weak side," Froch said. "He wants to be careful when he's on his weak side because I'm a very dangerous puncher."
