Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach has urged MMA superstar Ronda Rousey to hang up her fight gear, insisting it's time for her to quit the UFC.

Last Friday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Rousey lost her comeback fight to Amanda Nunes, 13 months after her crushing knockout defeat at the hands of  Holly Holm, and Roach admits he bet against Rousey last week.

Roach believes she should stick to acting after winning starring in Expendables 3 and Fast & Furious 7.

Freddie then agreed with Rousey's mother, AnnMaria De Mars, who believes her daughter should quit the fight game, adding, "She's correct!"

"She doesn't do well in stand-up [fighting]. Everyone has her number now. The thing is, when you get beaten like that sometimes you can come back from that and sometimes no... it depends on the person. As soon as the first punch landed the fight was over.... 48 seconds of a beating. Her mom is correct [that she should retire]," Roach told TMZ.

After the fight, which ended when the referee stopped the contest, Nunes poked fun at her opponent, and also suggested she should stick to making movies:

"Forget about Ronda Rousey!" the fighter told the Las Vegas crowd. "She's going to go do movies. Forget about her. She has a lot of money already. That's it for her. For sure, she’s going to retire."

Rousey made a guaranteed $3 million for her comeback fight while Nunes' was paid just $200,000 plus a percentage of the pay-per-view revenue.
