Trainer Freddie Roach is confident that unbeaten middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will win a major championship in 2011. Roach is in Mexico training Chavez for his fight with Billy Lyell on January 29. If victorious, Chavez will possibly return in May against unbeaten Sebastian Zbik for the WBC interim-middleweight title.

"We work hard and long but there are still things that need to improve and we need to continue working. I'd like to see him face Billy Lyell on January 29 and then on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao's fight against Mosley on May, and then yes, we want to face a champion because he's ready," said Roach to Sal Rodriguez. "I have no doubt that Julio will be a world champion. He is talented and has a charisma that will help people. If we can add to his legacy, people will talking about him for a long time."
