AMERICAN trainer Freddie Roach can’t wait to train Manny Pacquiao in the United States, so he flew out to the Philippines yesterday.

According to Manny Pacquiao’s director in his latest starring movie, Tony Bernal, the Filipino ring idol told him yesterday that Roach has arrived Manila.

Bernal said, Pacquiao declined his invitation via mobile phone to meet him. The veteran movie director quoted the former two-time world champ and Ring Magazine featherweight king as saying that he can’t make it to see him because he was waiting for Roach to arrive in his hometown in General Santos City,  which located in the island of Mindanao in Southern Philippines.

Pacquiao will supposedly fly back to Los Angeles, California Monday to train again under Roach. But plan has changed as he reset his flight to August 7 after he initial training in Cebu province. But this time, Pacquiao may do a regimen at the Almendras Gym in Davao City, where he maintains a modest house worth millions of pesos from his boxing earnings.

Pacquiao is scheduled to fight Hector Velazquez on September 10 at Los Angeles’ Staples Center where Erik Morales and Zahir Raheem also meet in the co-main event of the card.
