Last month, Fury retained the WBC belt when he overcame two knockdowns to score a knockout of Deontay Wilder in the eleventh round of their trilogy fight in Las Vegas.

He was scheduled to face Otto Wallin on October 30 at the O2 Arena, but withdrew after suffering a shoulder injury in training camp.

The World Boxing Council is anticipated to order a mandatory fight between Fury and Whyte in the coming weeks.

Both sides believe the fight, if a deal is reached, will land in the first quarter of 2022 in the UK.

Fury has not fought in the UK since 2018, with his last five bouts taking place in the United States.

Warren is not expecting a competitive fight. He backs Fury to retain the title in style.

"I think he'll do a job on him. I just look at the form line. I look at Dillian Whyte fighting Derek Chisora twice. I think the first fight Chisora nicked it, but the decision was given to Dillian," Warren told IFL TV.

"The second fight, Derek was winning that fight till Dillian pulled it out the bag and done what he had to do, which was a good finish and he did that.

"Then I look at what Tyson did with Derek Chisora. I mean, that was a better Derek Chisora. That was a younger Derek Chisora. For me, Derek didn't win a second of any round. Going into that fight I fancied Derek would give him a real problem and I fancied Derek may beat him, but Tyson done an absolute job on him."
