Frank Warren has had his say on the surprising announcement earlier this week that heavyweight Delicious Orie had decided to hang up the gloves after one professional fight.

Orie, who represented Great Britain at the Paris Olympic Games, had turned down an offer from the WWE to follow his dream as a professional boxer. He signed with Warren’s ever growing stable of heavyweights and made his professional debut back in April, outpointing Milos Veletic over four rounds, but underwhelmed.

Orie has decided to pursue a career in finance, in which he carries a bachelor's degree in, and will retire with a record of 1-0 in the professional ranks.

“I respect his judgement, boxing is the toughest of sports, if your heart's not in it or you've changed your mind, then he's done the right thing,” Warren said of Orie’s decision. “He's done everything, he's had a brilliant amateur career, he's decided professional boxing is not for him, so I respect that and wish him all the best for the future, and he'll always be a guest at one of our shows.”
