Speaking with The Telegraph, promoter Frank Warren was asked about the best talent that he's worked with in the last three decades. Warren, who made Joe Calzaghe, Amir Khan, Ricky Hatton and many others into superstars, views Prince Naseem Hamed as the best of the crop.
"Naz Hamed was the best I’ve worked with. He had everything, real KO power, all the skills, the box office appeal, he was exciting, a showman, but he still didn’t fulfil all his talent,” said Warren. "Naz could have done so much more with the talent he had.”
Hamed attends Warren's shows on a regular basis. He views unbeaten welterweight Kell Brook of Sheffield as the future superstar of Warren's stable.
“Kell’s a good kid, a fantastic fighter and I hope he is the second coming of ‘The Prince’ [Naseem Hamed]. He will be a world championone day - 100%,” Hamed told the paper.
