Junior middleweights Francisco Veron and Roiman Villa will headline a November 21 ProBox TV card in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Veron, a 26-year-old Argentinean residing in Fort Lauderdale, is 15-1-1 with 10 KOs. His lone loss came in August 2024 to Brandon Adams, who is fresh off a second win over respected 154-pounder Serhii Bohachuk and enjoying some of the finest form of his career. Since then, Veron has gotten back in the win column by defeating the 17-6 Vladimir Hernandez by 10-round unanimous decision.
Villa, a 32-year-old from Colombia, is an action fighter with a record of 27-3 (25 KOs). Two of those losses came in his past three fights. The first was a bruising, brilliant 10-round knockout loss to Jaron “Boots” Ennis, in which Villa took severe damage but also arguably pushed Ennis harder than any other opponent to date. When Ricardo Salas Rodriguez then knocked out the typically durable Villa in his next bout, it seemed Ennis might have cracked Villa’s chin. But in his most recent bout, Villa stopped Alexander Duran, 21-2 (7 KOs), in four rounds. Veron figures to be a stiffer test.
Also meeting on the card are welterweights Ruben Aguilar and Luis Lopez. Aguilar is a 24-year-old from Ensenada, Mexico, with a record of 23-0-1 (20 KOs). His draw was against Rodriguez, the same man who recently knocked out Villa. The fight against Lopez will be Aguilar’s first bout scheduled for 10 rounds. California’s Lopez, 29, is 16-2-4 (5 KOs) and has three wins and three draws in his past six fights.
In a battle of unbeaten lightweights, Francois Scarboro Jnr will meet Onyx Sanchez Medina. Scarboro, 11-0 (8 KOs), will be fighting for the third time this year. Medina has been even more active, having fought three times already – after fighting four times in 2024. He is currently on a six-fight knockout streak.
Finally, Dante Benjamin, a 23-year-old light heavyweight with a record of 12-0-1 (9 KOs) will meet Money Powell IV, 13-2 (8 KOs), over eight rounds.
The card will be available to watch live on ProBox TV.
