As BoxingScene.com reported a few days ago, a mouth-watering encounter has been finalized for December 17th, when super featherweights Takashi Miura (30-3-2, 23KOs) and Orlando Salido (43-13-4, 30KOs) collide for the WBC interim-title at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

Salido is coming back from a 'Fight of The Year' encounter with WBC champion Francisco Vargas (23-0-2, 17KOs) in June. The fight ended in a twelve round draw and there are different opinions as to which fighter deserved the victory.

Miura picked up a quick first round knockout win in Japan back in May, and prior to that - he was stopped in the ninth round of the '2015 Fight of The Year' with Vargas. He was up on the cards at time of the stoppage and had Vargas down earlier in the fight.

Who will win, Salido or Miura? Which fighter holds the advantage? There is no better person to voice his opinion on the matter than Vargas.

Vargas, who is currently healing the cuts that he suffered in the fight with Salido, views the contest as a very even encounter - but he notes that Miura is a bigger puncher and that could be the difference in the fight.

"This is a fight that is very even. Personally I do not see anyone who is a clear favorite. The only thing that I can say is that Miura has a stronger punch than Salido, and that could make a difference," Vargas told ESPN Deportes.

"Both are strong, brave - but I feel Mirua has more power. Personally I felt his punches more and that could tip the balance in the fight. Salido is a boxer who throws a lot, he is a warrior, and a little more crafty, he's is a little dirty. If the fight goes long it could be in competition for being the best of the year."
