Welterweight Francisco Santana has signed a promotional deal with Top Rank, matchmaker Brad Goodman told Boxingscene.com Monday morning.

The 29-year-old Santana was signed to promoter Gary Shaw until his promotional contract ran out earlier this year.

Santana (22-4-1, 11 KOs) has not fought since April 25, when he lost a close 10 round unanimous decision to Sadam Ali in New York City.
Santana scored a first round knockout win over Kendal Mena in his previous fight on January 9 in Santa Ynez, near his hometown of Santa Barbara, Calif.

There is a likelihood Santana, who trains in nearby Ventura, could appear on a ‘Solo Boxeo’ card later this fall.
