According to multiple reports coming out of Belfast, former world champion Carl Frampton is close to ending his partnership with longtime manager Barry McGuigan.
According to the BBC, a reliable source has said that behind the scenes the relationship between the pair has begun to "unravel".
Ten days before his scheduled contest with Andres Gutierrez late last month, Frampton stepped down as a board member of McGuigan's Cyclone Promotions.
The build up to the fight with Guiterrez saw Frampton weigh in one pound overweight, before the contest was called off less than 24 hours before the fight was scheduled to take place, when Gutierrez suffered several cuts and busted his teeth after slipping in the shower.
Frampton has worked with McGuigan since signing a professional deal in 2009 and in the past it has been noted that the pair have a very close relationship.
The BBC says it understands the postponement put added pressure on the relationship between the pair and it is now expected that Frampton will leave McGuigan's promotional stable Cyclone Promotions.
Frampton is advised by boxing powerbroker Al Haymon - which gives the Irish boxer the option to continue fighting under the Premier Boxing Champions banner.
Haymon also has deals with most of the top names in the featherweight division - where Frampton currently resides. Among the featherweight names in Haymon's stable - WBA champion Leo Santa Cruz, Abner Mares, WBC champion Gary Russell Jr., Jorge Lara and IBF champion Lee Selby.
