The monstrous Davis, 8-2 (7KO’s), who has thrilled Chicagoland crowds since turning pro in April 2003 with his knockout power returns to Aragon Ballroom after his first round destruction of Joe Johnson last July.
The equally heavy handed Fox, 8-4 (8KO’s) is coming off a first round knockout over
highly regarded prospect John Poore on June 16, 2006 in Philidelphia, PA.
“This is the first bout we’re ready to announce, but I know our matchmaker Jerry Alfano
is preparing more terrific matchups like this one. Our fans want us to bring them solid,
highly competitive bouts and that continues to be our focus.”
Said Pesoli about the bout, “These are two very exciting heavyweights who have major
knockout power and bad intentions from the opening bell. This is the type of fight not to
miss because given both of their resumes someone is going to get knocked out.”
“Carl has been off for a year due to some minor injuries but he’s in great shape and to
his credit he’s taking on a very tough guy in Fox. Cerrone just knocked out Poore in Philly so I’m sure he’s not concerned with the huge crowd that will be present to support Carl,” stated Pesoli.
