Four more Filipino boxers have lost in Thailand bringing to eight the number of fighters who have lost in the past week, some of them in patent mismatches.
The latest victims were flyweight Jun Eraham who is ranked No. 4 by the GAB, No. 2 straw weight Rollen Del Castillo and two unknowns identified by Fight News as Dodong Castido and Eric Gonzaga.
Eraham dropped a unanimous decision to Asian Boxing Council champion and WBC No. 3 Panomroonglek Kratingdaenggym in a title fight while Rollen Del Castillo also lost by a unanimous decision in a WBC Youth straw weight title fight to undefeated champion Olyedong Sithsamerchai who has a record of 21-0 with 8 knockouts.
Despite hurting his right hand early in the bout the Thai champion dominated the fight to win by scores of 100-91 twice and 100-89.
Former WBC flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul who lost his title to Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao in December 1998 stopped a fighter identified as Dodong Castido with one single punch at 1:10 of the second round.
The fourth Filipino ring casualty was Eric Gonzaga who lost a unanimous six round decision to former Asian Boxing Council super flyweight champion Peesaddaeng Kiatsakthanee who has a record of 15-0 with 4 knockouts and returned to the ring after a four year absence.
