In a recent interview with the NJ Herald News, former welterweight champion Vernon Forrest told the paper that he expects an easy night when he meets former champion Ike Quartey in the main event of a fight card scheduled in the Theater of Madison Square Garden in New York City. Forrest feels that Quartey picked him as an opponent because of his past injuries, but he affirms that he is 100% healthy.

"It's going to be an easy night," Forrest said. "It's just another day at work for me. Come Saturday, I'm going to dispose of this guy and move on to other guys to further my career. I picked Ike because I knew I could beat Ike. Ike picked me because he thought I was injured. I'm healthy. I'm healthy and I don't have any problems. My arm is fine."

The event is called "Now of Never," but Forrest is not feeling any pressure.

"I've only lost to one guy in my career, so as far as a sense of urgency, there's not a sense of urgency for me," Forrest said.
