The former Czech middleweight champion Tomas Bezvoda has reportedly died aged 38. The cause of death is not known.

Bezvoda’s professional record was 18-26-2. His reputation was built partly on his willingness to travel to fight popular opponents at late notice.

Jack Cullen, Mark Heffron, Simon Zachenhuber, Daniel Blenda dos Santos, Luka Plantic and Emre Cukur were among those he fought. As recently as April he shared the ring with the former world-title challenger Lukas Konecny, a compatriot who was also a good friend and his manager. His most recent fight came in June, when he defeated Daniel Bazo at cruiserweight.

Bezvoda won the Czech middleweight title in 2021 when beating Viktor Agateljan but lost the title in a rematch a year later. His victory represented the second fight of their trilogy.

Before his move to cruiserweight he campaigned at light heavyweight and drew with Lukas Simek in 2024 in a fight for the Czech title.
