WBC President Jose Sulaiman has a lot of confidence in the ability of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to become a supertstar in the sport of boxing. Alvarez is scheduled to return on December 4 in Xcaret, Mexico. The rumored opponent is Matthew Hatton, but Sulaiman thinks the WBC silver champion at 154-pounds should fight the likes of "Sugar" Shane Mosley to further his career.

After Mosley's two recent performances, against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sergio Mora, Sulaiman thinks the former three division champion is on his way out, and Alvarez is starting to become a force. Both Alvarez and Mosley are promoted by Golden Boy Promotions. Within two or three fights, Sulaiman says Alvarez will be ready for a major title shot.

"Mosley is on his way out, and 'Canelo' is coming in. But 'Canelo' is still two or three fights away before he's ready to fight for a world title," Sulaiman said.
