There is going to be some high-stakes drama on June 12 in New York's Madison Square Garden. BoxingScene.com has been advised by numerous sources that Yuri Foreman's team is considering the possibility of bringing in hall-of-fame trainer Emanuel Steward in a consultant's role for the fight with Miguel Cotto. Steward has trained a number of current and former champions, including WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Cotto is moving up to junior middleweight to challenge the unbeaten Foreman for his WBA title.

BoxingScene spoke with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who promotes both fighters, about the Steward's possible role in Foreman's camp. If Foreman's team picks up Steward, it adds another layer of spice to fight.

"They are thinking about bringing in Emanuel Steward as a consultant. It's very interesting. I think it's a great fight and it's going to be a very tough fight for both fighters," Arum told BoxingScene.com.

Arum is trying his best to prevent Cotto-Foreman from becoming a pay-per-view. Negotiations are still ongoing with HBO.

"We're still talking with HBO. I would like to keep it off pay-per-view. They want to show on the fight [on their network], but I don't know if the numbers will work for both fighters," Arum.
