There are plenty of distractions as Floyd Mayweather Jr. approaches his rematch with Marcos Maidana, taking place on September 13th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather has been publicly trading insults with rapper/promoter 50 Cent, rapper T.I., rapper Nelly - and now the boxer's former fiancé, Shantel Jackson, has filed a lawsuit against him.
Mayweather is blocking the distractions out and his sole focus right now is to beat Maidana in their Showtime Pay-Per-View headliner.
"My thing is I have to take care of my children and family. My job is to do what I what I do best. My job is to be Floyd Mayweather," Mayweather said. "People are entitled to their opinions. They are entitled to believe what they want to believe. But when you reach this level that I’m at there are always those taking shots at you. I don’t worry about that. Taking shots at me only comes with the territory. If you want to believe lies or rumors, that only makes my story better."
