Floyd Mayweather Jr. has advised the comebacking Ricky Hatton to forget about a ring return. He says Hatton should retire. Mayweather says Hatton took a very bad beating at his hands back in 2007, and went through a lot of wars during his career. He does agree that Hatton's habit of gaining massive amounts of weight between fights was a factor in the damage on the Manchester star's career.

"Ricky Hatton is a tough guy but I think he's been in a lot of tough fights - so now I think that it's time to hang them up. Ballooning up in weight extremely high and then losing weight. But the fans in the UK support him. He has a very strong following and he's a hell of a fighter. He's been in a tough fight with me, he's been in a lot of tough wars," Mayweather said.
