Liam Williams made a statement last time out when he iced Kris Carslaw inside two rounds.

The super welterweight (13-0-1, 8 KOs) was returning from a 13-month injury nightmare at the Manchester Arena last month and he saw off the challenge of the never-previously-stopped Scotsman (22-6, 5 KOs) to add the vacant British crown to his Commonwealth belt won in November, 2014.

Williams has since had his next fight confirmed –– and the 23-year-old will defend both titles on February 13, live and exclusive on BoxNation, as part of the undercard to Terry Flanagan’s WBO lightweight title defence against Derry Mathews at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

And the man in the opposite corner, as confirmed by Williams himself on social media, will be English champion Nav Mansouri (15-1-2, 5 KOs).

“I will be facing Nav Mansouri on 13th Feb on [BoxNation] in my first defence of the British title,” Williams said.

“[I’m] excited for this fight, he’s no mug and very durable,” the Clydach Vale man continued, “so it’ll give me more chance to show what I’m capable of."

Mansouri, 26, is managed by Macklin’s Gym Marbella and trained by Manchester’s Oliver Harrison.

He has held the English crown since May 2013 and most recently defended the belt against Sam Sheedy (16-1, 4 KOs) with a split decision at Rotherham’s Magna Centre in July.
