Fernando Montiel Will Face Jaderes Padua on June 22

Former multi-division champion Fernando Montiel (49-4-2, 37 KOs) will face Filipino Jaderes Padua (8-2-1, 5KOs) in a stay-busy fight on June 22 in  Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Padua was stopped in six rounds in last fight, which took place in April against former champion Tomas Rojas.

Montiel is trying to slowly build himself back up after two big defeats in 2011 to Nonito Donaire and Victor Terrazas. Montiel has won three in a row, beating Giovanni Caro, Arturo Reyes and Angky Angkotta.
