Felix "Tito" Trinidad (42-2, 35KOs) is in high spirits with less than a month to go before he returns to the ring on January 19 to tangle with Roy Jones Jr. (51-4, 28KOs) at New York's Madison Square Garden. The Puerto Rican idol has not fought since a lopsided decision loss to Winky Wright in May of 2005. The bout with Jones takes place at a catch-weight of 170-pounds.

"I come to win and do what I've always done, win. I will win and celebrate with my people, with my town and all of those who want to celebrate with me," Trinidad said. "I'm always positive. I am positive that I'm going to beat Roy Jones. I had a lot of fans who didn't want me to come back and a lot of fans who wanted me to return. There were a lot of boxers that I fought who were physically bigger than me, but they felt my power when I hit them. This will be the case against Jones. We will see if Jones can take my punches. In his last few fights, he was hit and went down, we'll see if he can take my punches."

Trinidad says that even though he predicted a win by second-round stoppage, he is training to go twelve hard rounds. After Jones, Trinidad still has revenge on his mind against Bernard Hopkins, who knocked Trinidad out for the undisputed middleweight title in September of 2001.

"If it goes two rounds, that's better and it ends quicker, but I'm going to rise to the occasion by winning the fight round by round," Trinidad said. "We'll see later....that same day or the next day - what the next step will be for my career. First we are going to destroy Roy Jones and then we will talk about a rematch with Hopkins.
