Sauerland Event begins 2016 on January 9 in Offenburg with WBA interim super middleweight champ Vincent Feigenbutz (21-1, 19) defending his portion of the title against Italian challenger Davide De Carolis (23-6) in a rematch.
Feigenbutz beat De Carolis on October but it was a controversial call and the young German was floored in the first and hurt in the fourth before the challenger faded a bit in the later rounds and that made the fight close but it was a far from impressive showing by the champion.
