If Yuriorkis Gamboa (24-1, 17 KOs) is searching for an opponent for a ring return before the end of the year, Philadelphia’s Tevin Farmer (20-4-1, 5 KOs) would be delighted to provide him with one.

Farmer contacted BoxingScene.com to express his desire to face the Cuban who hasn’t fought since a win in Mexico in November 2014.

Gamboa's return is being targeted for December 19th at HBO Latino.

“I see that Gamboa needs an opponent for his upcoming fight and I will hop right on it. I’m being ducked by a lot of people in the 130lbs division, but I know Gamboa wouldn't duck me. It's my time.

“I'm ready to make a statement that I'm here and here to stay,” Farmer continued.

“I just came off a great victory on HBO Latino against Daulis Prescott and I’m looking to step it up a notch.

“After I beat Gamboa it would set me up for a title shot mid 2016. All respect to Gamboa, he's a great fighter but I only want to face the best.

“Gamboa, I'm waiting on that contract, bro.”
