Carole Bettini, daughter of the late Fabio Bettini, has written a biography on her father who was French middleweight champion from 1971 through 1974 in a long, hard and glorious career. Bettini was around in what was a great era for French and European boxing and it was especially tough in the middleweight division. Fabio, who passed away last year, fought the likes of Nino Benvenuti, Jean Claude Bouttier, Willie Monroe, Sandro Mazzinghi, Tom Bogs, Ruben Carter, Sugar Ray Robinson, Max Cohen, Gratien Tonna and a number of other greats.

Bettini fought professionally from 1960 through 1974 compiling a record of 44-30-14. A number of his former opponents pay homage to their former opponent and friend in the book where also moviestar and fight fan Jean Paul Belmondo participate. Unfortunately for many of us the book is available in French only.
