United Boxing Promotions (UBP) and Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM) are proud to announce an exciting new promotional agreement, that will see the two companies co-host shows in Toronto and Montreal. To kick off the new partnership, undefeated welterweight Mian Hussain (12-0-0, 6KOs) of Montreal has been added to UBP's August 29 show at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
At just twenty-five years of age, Hussain has already earned victories over seasoned veterans, including former European Union champ Giuseppe Lauri (55-17-0, 33KOs) and ex-Intercontinental champ Ivan Pereyra (19-5-0, 13KOs). The show will be co-headlined by a twelve round, cruiserweight clash between Denton Daley (13-1-0, 6KOs) of Brampton and Guilian Ilie (20-9-2, 6KOs) of Romania, and a ten round, Canadian light middleweight champion feature between Kevin Higson (6-0-0) of Hamilton and Francesco Cotroni (10-5-1, 5KOs) of Mascouche, Quebec.
"I am extremely pleased to work with United Promotions in bringing Mian Hussain to the Ontario boxing fans," explained EOTTM President Camille Estephan. "Lots of great boxing has been occurring in Mississauga at the Hershey Centre. Mian is one of the most promising prospects in boxing today. We have great expectations for him and believe he can attain the highest honours in the welterweight division." Tyler Buxton of UBP was no less enthusiastic.
"Hussain is a really exciting guy. I've watched him fight on several occasions and I'm confident that Ontario fight fans will enjoy his style," said Buxton. "He has one punch knockout power, but can also box when he needs too. He's a great contribution to what promises to be one of our best cards yet!"
In addition to Hussain, the August 29 undercard will include: Light heavyweights Tim Cronin (5-1-0, 2KOs) of Belleville and Francois Miville (7-3-0, 3KOs) of Longueuil in a six rounder; Light Middleweights Aurey Cox (1-0-0) of Orangeville and Steve Rainford (1-1-0, 1KOs) of London over four rounds or less; along with Steven Wilcox (11-1-0, 5KOs) and Ryan Young (8-0-0, 6KOs) against opponents TBA.
