IBF I/C jr. middleweight ruler Marco Schulze will now take on Costa Rican Humberto Aranda on March 25 in Oranienburg in the headliner of a SES promotion. Aranda replaces American Dillon Carew.
Swiss cruiserweight and sometimes heavyweight, Nuri Seferi, squares off against Russian Nicolai Popov on April 15 in Ekaterinburg.
WIBF super middleweight champ Natascha Ragosina is looking to add the vacant GBU title to her collection on April 15 in Magdeburg. Who Ragosina will fight isn´t announced yet. IBF # 1 supermiddle Robert Stieglitz, on the waitinglist to fight Joe Calzaghe, co-headlines. Also on the bill is comebacking welterweight Alpaslan Aguzum, super middleweight Malik Dziarra, and heavies Taras Bidenko and Pavel Melkomian.
Danish lightweight Martin Kristjansen defends the WBO I/C title against slick Russian Andrey Devyatayk on March 30 in Copenhagen, the bout is the co-headliner to Bredahl vs Fedorov.
OPI 2000 stage EBU jr. welteweightr champ Junior Witter vs Giuseppe Lauri on April 28 in Varese.
Amin Asikainen of Finland and Frenchman Christophe Tendil are co-challengers for the vacant EU 160 lb title. Tendil has replaced Brit Steven Bendall.
The Universum Box Guide 2006 is now out. It´s in English and German and usually well worth its price. It features a review on the year that passed by but the highlight is perhaps the story of the company created by Klaus Peter Kohl in the late 80´s and the fighters that have come and gone. Norwegian jr. welterweight Geir Inge Jorgensen, who is managed by Emanuel Steward, is still in Norway trying solve the visa problems that have kept him outside of the US since last year but says he´s making progress. Geir Inge might join the Wladimir Klitschko camp in Mallorca and says he could be on the Klitschko vs Byrd show on April 22 in Mannheim.
