EBU heavyweight champ Paolo Vidoz takes on German Cengiz Koc in a voluntary defense of his title at the Tempodrome in Berlin on January 28. Sauerland Event will promotes the event. Koc is has finally withdrawn from his position as co-challenger for the EU title (with Dane Steffen Nielsen), Dutchman Richel Hersisia takes over Koc´s spot. Nielsen vs Hersisia has November 15 as final date for an agreement to be reached or they will go to purse bids.
WBO I/C 168 lb champ Lolenga Mock defends against Russian Yuri Tsarenko on Bettina Palle´s November 4 show in Silkeborg. Female bantamweight Anita Christensen takes on American Leona Brown.
WBA welterweight champ Luiz Collazo defends against German Oktay Urkal. The bout will take place in either Dezember or January. Don King has not decided on whether to hold the bout in Germany or the United States. More specific details are expected within the next two weeks.
Finnish Steel Ring with partners stage a show called "Dreams´ Night" on November 17 in Oulu. Certain to appear are jr middleweights Mika Joensuu and Harri Okkonen, a prodebutant, as well as bantamweight Karl Larsson-Jones. Russian heavyweight, but fighting out of Norway - Daniel Peret might also be featured.
Norwegian super bantamweight Reidar Walstad is on the bill on November 19 in Torrevieja (Spain). Stablemate in Viking Boxing Promotions, light heavyweight Kim Jensen, is working on getting a spot on the undercard.
LA-based Swedish lightweight Shadi Hamsho has had some bad luck recently with cancelled fights but expects to be back in the near future.
