Ex-two time WBO super middleweight challenger Mario Veit, signed to Universum, takes on unbeaten Venezuelan Guzmin Perdomo on the undercard to Erdei vs Sahnoune on October 22 in Halle/Saale.

Veit vs Perdomo, signed to Spotlight Boxing, is effectively an eliminator where the loser will leave the team. Also on the bill is Silke Weickenheimer vs Ina Menzer in a WIBF featherweight fight.
 
Hennessy Sports have announced that Junior Witter will take on Italian Gianluca Branco in a WBC 140 lb eliminator if Witter gets past Colin Lynes on October 21.
 
Belgian heavy Oleg Platov takes on Lithuanian Mendauga Kulikauskas on October 8 in Namur. Super middleweight Djamel Selini is in against Mustapha Stini.
 
Former EBU light heavyweight champ Erich Schoppner has passed away at the age of 73 writes boxen.com. Schoppner fought as a jr middle in the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 and won the European title in 1955 before turning pro in 56 where he went 34-1-5. He was a big hero in Dortmund where he fought most of fights. Schoppner won the EBU 175 lb title in 1958. His only loss was to Giulio Rinaldi in 1963.
