Sauerland Event announced on February 14 that WBA heavy Nikolay Valuev planned April 1 defense was postponed due to an injury to the champion. The April 1 date will stick though with EBU middleweight champ Sebastian Sylvester defending the title against fellow German Dirk Dzemski in the headliner. Site is not set, but Rostock appears to be in the running.
Luis Collazo´s defense of the WBA welterweight title against German Oktay Urkal might now happen in the United States on April 1.
Kazachstani Yersin Jailauov challenge EBU super bantamweight champ Michael Hunter on March 3 in Liverpool.
Lightweighs Innocent (that´s his ringname) and Hassan Ait Bassou clash on May 20 in Purmerend on the annual Fighting Nordin Memorial in a Dutch eliminator.
The Torrevieja Boxing Club has postponed its planned March 18 show. New working date is March 31.
Stockholm-based Innuendo Management & Promotion is looking to do a show in Mariehamn on the island of Aaland sometime in August using mainly Swedish pros. Innuendo has previously staged K 1 shows in Sweden and done very well.
