EBU middleweight champ Amin Asikainen weighed in at 72,2 kg / 159,25 lbs at yesterday´s weighin for today´s titledefence at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki against German Alexander Sipos, 72,3 / 159,5, reports boxing.fi. Juho Tolppola came in at 63,3 / 139,5 for his non-title ten-rounder against Frenchman Gabriel Mapouka 63,4 /140. Ringside report to come.
 
Danish super middleweight Rudy Markussen is in against Russian southpaw Sergey Tatevosyan in a scheduled eight-rounder on the undercard to Beyer vs Kessler on October 14 in Copenhagen. Team Palle was looking to get William Joppy as opponent for Rudy but couldn´t reach an agreement. Tatevosyan, a southpaw, has been to Copenhagen for weeks now sparring with Kessler. Added to the bill is Lolenga Mock, also at 168,, who´s just signed a two-year contract with Bettina Palle. Off the show is Swedish heavy Mikael Lindblad, who was to have fought Claus Bertino.
 
Czech jr. middleweight Lukas Konecny, signed to German SES, face Frenchman Mehdi Azri on October 10 in Prague on Spotlight Boxing´s big show at the T-mobile Arena. Stablemate Robert Stieglitz, the eternal IBF # 1 ranked super middleweight, tunes up for a future shot at Joe Calzaghe against South African Xolani Ngemutu.
 
Georgian middleweight Levan Shonia takes on Predrag Radosevich on October 12 in Bosnia-Hercegovina. It´s the first time Shonia fights outside of the Georgian Republic where there´s been an enourmous amount of activity reported.
