WBC 175 lb ruler Tomasz Adamek´s mandatory defense against German Thomas Ulrich could go ahead in Germany on October 15. Adamek´s manager Andrei Gmitruk said yesterday that there was no deal signed yet. Gmtiruk´s Boxing Europe will stage a small show without Adamek on Aug 5 in Warzaw.

Mexican Orlando Salido and Dane Spend Abazi could, according to BoxLatino, meet in an IBF eliminator at 126. Salido is #5 in the ratings and Abazi #6.

Universum has stated that they will make an official protest to the EBU regarding the decision in the Junior Witter-Andreas Kotelnik bout, won by Witter on close call. A change in the decision is highly unlikely, but it could lead to Kotelnik geting a rematch.
