According to teampalle.dk, newly crowned EBU 168 lb champ Jackson Chanet, who recently won an EBU eliminator when beating Vitaly Tsypko, is not interested in fighting WBA ruler Mikkel Kessler in a year.
Chanet´s promoter Michel Acaries has a somewhat different view: "After Kessler vs Lucas January 14 we´ll see what the situation is."
IBO jr middleweight champ Mihaly Kotai fights a non-title ten-rounder in Nottingham on December 2.
Ukrainian heavyweight Aleksander Dimitrenko takes on American Rob Calloway on Universum´s show in Munich on January 6. Trainer Fritz Sdunek feels Aleksander is almost as good as Wladimir Klitschko, but stills needs a little more seasoning before going after the big names. Dimitri Sartison and Alexander Awidjan clash for the Int´l German 168 lb title in the co-feature.
Sergey Dzindziruk, who just vacated the EBU 154 lb title, is expected to take on WBO champ Daniel Santos on December 3 in Magdeburg but it´s not a done deal as of yet.
German super middleweight Danilo Haussler will have surgery on his left elbow on November 30. The WBA I/C champ has had problems with the arm for some time now.
Austrian jr middleweight Gotthard Hinteregger takes on Hungarian Joszef Matolcsi on December 9 for WBF title that was left vacant by Brice Faradji. While both men are fairly limited, their two previous fights have been exciting with each man scoring a victory. Matolsci scored a come from behind KO-win the first time around and Hinteregger took a controversial points win in the the second meeting. As for Brice Faradj - it´s being reported that he relinquished the WBF crown to gain the position of mandatory challenger to the winner of Hinteregger vs Matolsci.
