WBC Int´l heavy champ Sinan Samil Sam ha accepted a position as mandatory challenger for EBU title holder Wladimir Virchis. Sam and Virchis are both promoted by Universum.
Universum´s show in Halle/Saale on October 21 will also feature Russian super middleweight Denis Inkin and newly crowned German welter champ Norman Schuster. Already on the bill are super middleweights Mario Veit and Jurgen Brahmer and WBO jr middleweight champ Sergey Dzindziruk.
Anita Christensen takes on Nadja Hockmi for the vacant WBC and WBA female bantamweight titles on Team Palle´s big show on October 14 in Copenhagen.
Florida-based Swedish cruiserweight Ismael Koné, 10-1, has decided to retire. Koné´s career never really took off. He turned pro in 98 but quickly got into managerial problems and was inactive from 2000 through 2004. Ismael came back in 04 but various deals with possible managers fell through.
