Universum announced yesterday on Aug 24 that Tomasz Adamek´s defense of the WBC 175 title against Thomas Ulrich will go forward on October 15 in Duesseldorf.
 
German super middleweight Danilo Haussler, the former EBU and current WBA I/C champ, will take on Mohamed Said in an eight-rounder on the Klitschko vs Peter bill on September 24 in Atlantic City. Said beat Haussler by way of a disputed split decision last year.
 
Finnish promoters King´s Talli returns on September 30 with a dinner show in Helsinki topped by unbeaten middleweight Asim Asikainen and jr welterweight Juho Tolppola.
 
WBA I/C jr middleweight champ Reda Zam Zam is featured in a documentary shot by Dariusz Steiness that will air later this year on 4Sport/DK4. Zam Zam, 17-0, holds wins over the likes of Frank Mezaache, Luca Messi, Hamlet Petrosian, Christian Bladt and Vincent Vuma.
 
French welterweight Stephane Jacob defends the WBF title against Russian Ivan "the Terrible" Kirpa on October 29 in Calais
 
Hungarian heavies Zoltan Petranyi and Karoly Kovacs, both soft touches on the road, clash for the vacant national title on September 3 in Budapest. Both have recently built a string of wins on small shows in Hungaray and Slovakia.
 
Canadian Interbox will stage a show in Montreal on September 16 with super middleweight Lucian Bute on top taking on Kabary Salem. In the chief suppor,t Adrian Diaconu defends the Canadian 175 pound title against Conal McPhee. Also on the bill are Jojo Dan and Benoit Gaudet. 
 
Spanish lightheavies Gabriel Campillo and Juan Nelongo square off for the national title on October 19 in Tenerife.
 
12rounds, the marketing company co-owned by WBC 168 lb champ Markus Beyer, has signed female flyweight Patryca Sibliska. Sibliska debuts August 28 in Berlin.
 
Swedish welterweight Isam Khalil will now makes his US debut on October 21 on a show outside of New York. Khalil is billed as a Palestinian, the place of his roots, but he is fighting out of Stockholm.
 
A special stamp in honor of ex-heavyweight champion Max Schmeling, who would have turned 100 years old on September 28, is now available in Germany. There is also a big exhibition for the stamp in Bad Saarow, where Schmeling was born.
