The Danish media reports that Int´l Entertainment, the company behind Team Palle, suffered a huge financial loss for 2004. Palle also had a rough year in 2003 and it´s a fact that professional boxing in Scandinavia struggles despite several big names and good prospects around.
Supermiddle Rudy Markussen has joined the growing list of possible challengers for WBC ruler Markus Beyer´s defense on September 3. Markussen takes on ex-champ Hacine Cherifi tomorrow (June 17) in Aarhus. The Dane has previously lost to Sven Ottke in Germany but beat Danilo Haussler and with his punching power, he is probably not the first name on the list.
