Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis will arrive in Kiev (Ukraine) on Thursday (Oct 13,) on the invitation of Mykola Lisin, President of the Ukrainian Federation. Lewis will attend Infox Boxing Promotion and World Sport Promotion´s big show on Friday. Topping the bill are lightheavies Viacheslav Uzelkov and Yuri Bara´shian. Uzelkov face Congolese veteran Mukadi Manda while Bara´shian is in against Hungarian Istvan Varga.
Hungarian Felix-Promotion will stage a five bout show in Szentes October 29. EBA champs Attila Kovacs, jr middle, and Joszef Nagy, middleweight, are both to defend their belts and so is WIBF/GBU flyweight queen Viktoria Milo. Tamasz Popovics and Gabor Halasz clash for the Hungarian 175 lb title and Oliver Rubin takes on Zoltan Beres for the national cruiserweight crown.

EBU cruiserweight champ Aleksander Gourov´s much delayed mandatory defense of the title against Brit David Haye is set for December 16. Haye must first get past Italian Vincenzo Rossitto this weekend.

The EBU council meeting during the WBC convention this past weekend resulted in a vote of no, to the proposal of introducing two new weight divisions (jr flyweight and jr cruiserweight) in Europe. It was also decided that a standing eight count shall not be used in EBU and EU fights.
