American George Klinesmith takes on NBA 160 lb champ Dirk Dzemski on September 17 in Ilsenburg. Dzemski was originally booked to fight Anthony Shuler, but he was forced to pull out with a hand injury.
Swiss welterweight Riad Menasria returns to action for the first time in 2005 on Sep 7.
The Virgil Hill vs Valery Brudov, WBA cruiserweight title fight, will land on Don King`s September 30 show in St Louis.
Ukrainian middleweight Andrey Kuvatov squares off against Brit Paul Buchanan on September 16 in Dnipropetrovsk for the vacant IBF Youth title. Welterweight Yuir Nuzhnenko takes on Belorussian Sergey Shnip, while light heavyweight Vadim Safonov is in against Igor Tverdokhleb.
Dutch cruiserweight Don Diego Poeder takes on Brit John Keaton in the headliner of Big Boss Boxing´s show on September 10 in Rotterdam. It´s for the Dutch title, which remains vacant in case of a win for Keaton.
German welterweight Michel Trabant will be on Universum´s show in Halle October where WBO ruler Zsolt Erdei takes on Medhi Sahnoune. Trabant´s opponent could be David Estrada although it doesn´t appear to be a done deal. Ex-WBO interim 168 lb champ Mario Veit is also on the show.
Professional boxing might return to Sweden in the summer of 2007, an annnouncement was made on September 6. But there are big "ifs" surrounding this return and there might be "special rules" for the game such as headgears, thicker gloves, shorter rounds and distances.
Ex-WBO middleweight champion Armand Krajnc is thinking about coming back - note the word "thinking" about it. Armand is currently employed full time as a trainer in Malmo, Sweden, and weighs in at the cruiserweight level.
